Below 80%, within 80–120%, or above 120% of the reference. These are this tool's comparison bands, not industry quality grades.
Worked example
Illustrative calculation: a video with 1,800 likes, 120 comments and 80 shares has 2,000 interactions. With 50,000 views its rate is 4.00%; with 10,000 followers its follower-based rate is 20.00%.

Add likes, comments and shares from one video or a consistent sample. Enter total views for those videos and a follower count recorded at the reporting date. Include saves only when known.
By views is total interactions ÷ total views × 100. By followers is total interactions ÷ number of videos ÷ followers × 100. Summing views and interactions produces a view-weighted sample rate; it differs from averaging each video's percentage.
Why the two TikTok rates differ
TikTok's For You distribution can reach people who never followed the account. A video with broad reach can produce a high follower-based rate while only a modest share of its views generate interaction.
Neither number measures unique engaged viewers or watch time. Read retention, qualified clicks and actual campaign results separately when those are part of the goal.
Compare a consistent sample
Collect the same metrics for every video. Note the time period and identify giveaways, promoted clips or viral outliers. Compare similar content and account conditions before concluding that a creative change improved performance.
Socialinsider reports 3.85% by views for Q2 2026. Its methodology includes saves as well as likes, comments and shares. This tool only enables that comparison with all four interaction types and a view denominator.

Use actual TikTok analytics to compare the virtual creator's published clips. A lower interaction rate may prompt a new opening, clearer story or different content format, but it does not prove why a video performed as it did.
Take a concrete next scene into the prompt builder or video workflow. Keep the identity recognizable while testing an intentional change, then measure again using the same sample rules.

Is this tool free without an account?
Yes. The calculations, prompt builder and document exports run in your browser without login or generation Credits.
Does the tool retrieve my social account?
No. Enter numbers from your own analytics or a public profile. The tool does not connect to Instagram, TikTok or YouTube.
Where is my draft saved?
Text drafts stay in this browser for seven days and can be cleared. Uploaded media stays locally. Export a copy before switching device or clearing browser data.
Should I use views or followers?
Use views to evaluate a video against its distribution. Use followers for a consistent account-size comparison, always noting that non-followers can interact.
Do viral videos distort the average?
Yes. A viral outlier can raise a period's totals. Keep the sample consistent, note unusual campaigns and compare typical posts alongside the aggregate.
Does the published reference include saves?
The Socialinsider view-based methodology includes likes, comments, shares and saves. Its reference is enabled only when all four are included and the result is by views.
